The DMV and the Court may impose additional penalties in addition to those listed here such as ordering you to install an ignition interlock device on your car, impounding your car for up to 30 days, file motions against you for vehicle forfeiture, or impose jail time if you did not have a driver's license or were driving at an excessive speed at the time of the arrest. Therefore, you should consult the Vehicle Code or a lawyer immediately.

Remember: You only have 10 days from the date of your arrest to request a hearing before the DMV.

In addition to the fines above, the Court will add penalty assessments which significantly increase the amount of the fine. The Court will also order you to pay at least $100 but no more than $1000 toward the victims' restitution fund fine on all misdemeanor convictions.
If you were under 21 at the time of the arrest, your driving privilege will be suspended for one year.
