Judge Arrested and Cited For Drunk Driving

Judge Elaine Rushing was arrested and cited for misdemeanor drunk driving after she crashed her car. The case is being evaluated by the California Attorney Generals office for filing.
Judge Rushing presided over two high-profile drunk driving cases last year, handing down the maximum sentences in each case. In once case, she sentenced an attorney to 9 years in the state prison, and in the other she sentenced a man to 14 years.
